Mood Board

When you love and understand fashion there are pictures of people, things, celebs, or ads that inspires us. They can inspire a season's look, sexiness, desire, or simply fascination. It is a little late for a Spring mood board but here it is.

I have a love - hate relationship with the preppy look but Scott Disick pulls it off so damn hot! Boys should definitely dress like this more often.

I found this on the Satorialist, he wrote about guys and skirt lenght. idk why but I am feeling this guys look.

DVF Party. My next party will look like this.

My guy friends will hate me for this but sorry I am one of those girls that thinks Cristiano Rolando is f*ckin hot. I dont care if he screwed Paris Hilton or is too metro or might be gay in your book but I couldn't help but to look at these ads all around Milan.
Steve Klein, an amazing photographer, will be the next director to the next Lady Gaga video, "Alejandro". He loves nude as much as GaGa does.
More Kardashian. As you may have noticed the Army look is in again. I tried this exact Kourtney look about 2 years ago and Reynaly and I came up with the conclusion that I looked like a dike zoo trainer. However, Kourt looks nothing like that. I'll just try it again. Plus I need my long hair back! Kourt and Khloe are my fav ones.

Look at Lourdes! All grown up. I can't wait to see what the future of fashion holds for her! Madonna actually just said, she wishes Lourdes would dress more conservative. Yeah right! She's your daughter! No such thing will happen!

What would my mood board be without my number one inspirations, the Olsen twins. Ashley looks heavenly chic!

Sheer & cropped furry coats - LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Chanel retails their own fake tattoos for $75-150 if I'm not mistaken. I think I rather take these 75 cents and go to one of those many gum ball machines at Kmart and get a lot more for my cents not even my buck! LOL

Another important person in my life. Out of the thousands of looks in the new Telephone video, I loved this one! The diet coke cans were priceless. I am seriously considering this or the americana look at the end of her video for Halloween 2010 ;)

Weird but lovely at the same time or maybe a family portrait.

I'm so jealous of how Kelly got so thin! She looks amazing, better than ever! and I of course love this dress from C. Rebelle.

Truth Is ...

Here I am going through another rough patch. Lately, I haven't been able to sleep. I wake up in the morning super tense (I already know I have a teeth grinding/tongue biting problem that cause my jaw to be sore all next day) or feeling like I need 4 more hours of sleep (even when I didn't party the night before). I don't understand why though. I have had no problem with my school projects or reports (they are still quite easy) and I actually had some friends (Ana & Gabriel with their own friends) come and visit me through the week. This leads me to think, that after all my classmates were right about me being a kinda of a loner.

In the past month, I have been sitting front row but mostly for the fact of paying a lot more attention because the girls in my class just talk too much in class and the teachers never shut them up! Supuestamente estan whispering pero f*ck se esucucha todo el chisme que se tienen! (en verdad, solo hay un profesor que me encanta, porque las calla por nombre y les dice to PLEASE GET OUT!)

It's been almost 4 months now, and from what I hear, a lot of girls REGRET being in the circle of friends they started to be in. Yo nose en que "grupo" estoy yo; nose si en verdad soy la "loner"; y tampoco se si mis classmates aun estan enojadas por mi blog. I have no place in this class and its weird. I usually have my fun little studious group. For example, I have yet another group project for my Product Development class and I have no group. Usually, what I do is stick with the same 3 girls, pero ya estoy aburrida de ellas! Is that bad? - I have 23 other girls in the class and I know for a fact that 5 don't like me; so I have 18 other girls to work with. Pero lo que hacen ellas es quedarse entre las mismas - leaving me con las mismas - PERO YA NO QUIERO! I feel like I'm not growing or developing with others at all y no se que hacer. One group straight up said, "NO!", another had the 5 person limit y la ultima esta con 2 muchachas I don't get along with at all. De alli me queda, el mismo f*ckin grupo! - I'm so frustrated by this!

So I think, I can't sleep because I have given up on the girls here and can't find my niche. Don't get me wrong, I talk to several of them but like I've said before we just don't have great "friend" chemistry. o0o and I also feel like some of the classmates are holding me back in class because they don't understand what the recession is or what "grasp" means!!! Seriously! Just write it down and google it later in your language (las chinitas already do it during class on their iphone)!

Last week, I was told that some of the girls are in this program because the school needed "to meet the full amount". O SEA! Some of these girls aren't supposed to be here? - I know I am, I have very good college grades and hell of a lot more hands on work experience aunque sea en mi family company - I'm not even going to doubt myself, I know I have fashion and business in my blood! But when I found this out, it pissed me off!

Pero bueno que hago!? I need good sleep!! I need to find a man here because I have no idea where to meet new random people - Actually bullsh*t, I randomly met 5 short gay guys 2 weekends ago, maybe I should hang out with them. LOL .... no no, pero en serio que hago! nose que hacer. have no friends or little friends to get along with is not a good feeling, I do not want to sleep or spend loner time in my apartment for the remaining 9 months!

Truth is ..... I feel little alone (but not the type where I need a boyfriend). (SIGH).

POR FIN PartyMode!

Kristin, Amanda, Anne, me

FINALLY found some Sangria! but it wasn't as delish as it looks :(

Maria (Lebanon), me (Nica), Megha (Canada/India), Elvira (Panama)

POR FIN sali este weekend! Ya me estaba volviendo loca. I was planning to go to Naples or Rome this weekend b/c I had a long weekend off but my friends are either broke from their spring break plans/tickets, sick, and Anne was also leaving and this was her last weekend.

Friday - Tequila shots en mi apartamentito with Anne and her 2 roommates. Despues de los tequilitas, we went to a pretty ghetto club called 21. ghetto clubs here, play lots of hiphop and reggae, so why not!? They also don't charge cover, drinks are "cheap" (3 euros a shot, 7 euros a drink), and coat check is only 3 euros. Asi que alli pasamos la noche bailando un rato. The only bad thing is that EVERY guy there picks you up to dance. I probably said no like 60 times? to black guys, guidos, and 1 old guy that looked like the Ex-VP Rizo. pero de alli la pasamos bien. me hize broder del bartender that turned out to be from Guatemala and gave me some free sambuca after seeing "my" sambuca trick LOL

Saturday - Megha, Maria, and I went to the Uffizi Musuem for 30 minutes because it was beyond boring! there went 6.5 euros! I also went around the corner to Zara and got new jeans because during the week my jeans ripped right on the crotch while in class! MY FAVORITE JEANS! great! - anyways. after the musuem, we went home and got ready to later meet at ZOE for some aperetivi. Super rico el aperitivi alli! However, me di cuenta, that "my friends" and I have no friend chemistry our talks are ultra boring, I have to spice them up with random sex or boy questions, which ended up dying after 2 minutes within the conversation. yeah. great. no chemistry. aburrido pue! - por suerte llego Elvira! She is fun! - after ZOE we headed to Benci avenue for some "bar hopping" and to meet Anne. However, Anne decided to go home and we needed up at A bar called OIBO. I like it there, except getting a drink is stupid! You have to go to the cashier first, get a ticket, and then get the drink - COMO SI TUVIERA EN KERMESSE! - Bueno we were good there for a couple hours and eventually split ways. Megha and I, tried to look for  21 b/c she loves reggae but couldn't find it - but we did find 6 short 5'feet gay guys and talked to them for like an hour - it all started with directions but ended up talking for like 40 mins and now they are my FB friends LOL uno es peruano and the others italian (i think) - I KNOW, RANDOM!

and that is pretty much it! This week I have 2 friends heading to Florence yeyyyy! Ana Sofia and Gabriel! Looks like this will be a gooood weekend! :D

P.S. Grace! - Maria kinda reminds me of you :)

Living In: Florence, Italy

I saw this at a random Coffee/Bar shop

Sometimes I photograph my food. I'm always so proud of my cooking and my keychain Annita gave me for Christmas.

This dog was so cute! People are allowed to sit their pets on the restaurant booths, kinda weird, but I'm a doggie lover and they are always welcomed to sit with me!

Coffee at Piazza Republica

with Anne on a great sunny day!

1. I'm going to GREECE for Spring Break! wooohooo! I'm going to Corfu & Athens for 8 days! I'm so excited. I am actually going alone, aqui la gente del program anda en su propio mundo en su propia cosa, therefore I have to venture alone. But I am going with a student group leaving Florence. So I'll hopefully meet some hotties and party people! woohooo!

2. I just started 2 new classes in the program. Intercultural Mngt & World Issues (like International Business/Finance). I loved Intl. Business in my undergrad. You learn sooo many complex global issues which eventually turn out to be not so complex and feel invigorated every time the class ends! It really opens your eyes and mind to how the world works together. Since, it was the 1st class, we basically talked about the current recession. Can you believe 80% of the class, didn't know we were going through a recession! WTF! They didn't know where it came from, why, its effects, etc. I couldn't believe it. Ademas de eso, it kinda frustrates me that they don't know some key english terms, but I'm working on it - I know English is their 2nd or 3rd language. OH! and for some reason, I started talking about Carlos Slim and no one but me and the 2 other latinas, knew who he is! CARLOS SLIM is the richest man of the world now (Forbes, 1 week ago)! He's been around for a while, they should know him! I'm still in shock - COMO NO VAN A SABER ESO?!

3. Florence is getting crowded. Tourist season begins! Even Brad Pitt and his kids were here on Sunday (but because Angelina is filming in Venice with Johnny Depp; coincidentally a movie called The Tourist LOL)

4. I have NOT MET an ITALIAN YET no randomly made-out with one! Please stop asking me this! LMAO.

5. I MISS PARTYING. Oh wait I have already mentioned this :P

En verdad, nada new. Basically class, new classes, dinners, city walking, and wondering what to do this weekend, because I have Friday off.

Girl Drama UPDATE!

Segun algunas classmates, there are 2 girls (which were not mentioned in my blog) that were SO OFFENDED by my blog post on "Too much Chicks" that they have tried to tell everyone else in the class to not work with me on projects or to simply stay away from me. - Seriously?! What are you, 15?! Where are you, in HS?! GIVE ME A BREAK! Todovia siguen con esta cosa!! - However, the classmates have not shown importance and still talk to me.

One of the mentioned Greeks (the one who asks too many questions) was also apparently OFFENDED and brought it up in class. Last Friday, we started a new class called Intercultural Mngt and we were talking about judging people too fast, how to work with different cultures, language barriers, etc. The teacher told us to try to not have 1 bad judgment for an hour and if you did have 1, to raise your hand and share it. So Elena (the questioning Greek) raised her hand and said "Someone said I asked too many questions and I felt offended - it makes me feel stupid" - I immediately raised my hand in order to clear the air with her but everyone else just started asking other questions - and the 2 other girls (the ones trying to leave me friend-less) started making stupid comments about judging to fast; that I just let it go, I didn't care anymore. They have their opinion, I have mine. Ya me aburri de esta shet! After class, Crystal approached me and told me if I was ok after being "slammed" but I told her I was completely fine, that I didn't feel slammed at all by their comments and that they are just being HS about this. Crystal immediately said, most of the class felt the same way about my blog drama. The only ones with the problem are Elena (greek) and the 2 other chicks Vanesa (Canada/Italy) and Nicole (California).

Since we have also started a couple new classes, we still introduce ourselves to the new teachers and the girls have used my EURO nickname as an introduction; even the EURO herself! She loves it! I knew she did! - You see! I don't know what the problem was or is then?!

Boringggggg!

Alexie (Taiwan) cooking up a storm!

Setting up the table. Megha (Canada) on computer. Riya (India) left side. Jeanne (Indonesia) center. Monday (China) right side.

Ruth (Hong Kong) trying the soup.

Water Boiled Beef dish (very hot!)

Don't forget the SOY sauce!

Heading out to Twice for a little dance after a big meal

For the past 2 weekends and weekday nights I have been completely bored! My friends in the program do not go out! Son unas mega-aburridas. Now I know I am here to learn but I am just so use to having sangria nights, happy hour, movie nights, mexican nights and my friday nights. I am a party-girl and I miss it! :( Their excuses are: I'm tired. What it's Wednesday!?. I'm really sleepy. I miss my boyfriend and I am going to skype with him all night. BO-RING! Seriously!? Ni la tal panameña sale lo suficiente, which I thought was going to be my party buddy. Actually, last last weekend, I told her to go out and she said no to me, but she ended up going out with another girl and got her purse stolen, pero eso es porque she is a mess and leaves her beautiful FENDI purse lying anywhere and doesn't watch it. Anyways, ayyyy quiero un trago! quiero bacanal! Porque son tan palmada esta gente?! - My parents think its good, I'm not partying, porque sin guaro me voy a poner flaca, talvez tengan razon pero me pican los pies por salir! - This past weekend, was basically home, sleep, walk the city and stores (no shopping though) and a chinese dinner. My Asian classmates made a big authentic Chinese dinner which was delish! Super spicy y mucho arroz (which I also miss). However, after the dinner, 4 of us did go out to dance for a bit but by 1am they were all yawning and not even drinking (tampoco me voy a poner bola sola!) By 1:30am I was in my cozy apartment. - Ayy I miss my nights out!

BTW here are some pics from a Mexican night at my place with Alexie & Megha.

Getting the fajitas ready

Veggies!

READY! MEXICAN night is served! Me quedo di-vi-no!

HUG the cook!

The Mall

Today, I went to an outlet my classes and friends can't stop talking about. It's a designer outlet 45 minutes away from Florence. They have Gucci, Pucci, Armani, Burberry, Fendi, La Perla, Sergio Rossi, Zegna, Dior, and a few others. I first walked into my fav store: Pucci but everything was over 200 euros! But then I went to Fendi OMG! I'm not a Fendi fan but they had some great prices! and got some shoesssssssssssss! :D - well booties to be correct! - after that I went everywhere else but since we went on the afternoon bus we only had 2 hours there and that is not enough time for me. So I just looked really fast and will probably head back soon, specially for some Sergio Rossi shoessssss! :D

The Aftermath of Blog Drama

On Thursday, I went up to my dean right after class and asked him (nicely, polite, and innocently), that I had heard there was problem with my blog and that I had heard from say they had talkd to him about it. He immediately told me not to worry, he basically made a face like "typical girl/bitch drama" and he had read my blog and that he was cool with it. My dean and I get along, and he probably understood where I was coming from. He simply told me not to write about them because we are all classmates for 9 months. So, I told him I'd privatize it, and I did. Bueno, asi talvez me puedo expresar un poco mas y no dejar ni una de mis "amigas" leerlo. Ni modo, I have been censored but I'll find a way to keep talking just like Howard Stern. If you don't like what I say, don't read it y PUNTO.

P.S. The one "friend", that told me, que "me pase" y me regaño (tipico que siempre tengo una amiga asi, always telling me to stay out of trouble and shut my mouth - ya saben quienes son y saben que las amo mucho!) - well that one "friend" and I talked today and she said something like "as much as I didn't like your one post, I do enjoy your blog - you have amazing story telling skills and should take it seriously, when I read your blog I feel like you are talking to me and I can picture every moment". - Cuando ella me dijo eso, I felt so happy, because that is what I try to do for all of you, I want you guys to share every moment with me. I am alone here and feel like I need to get it all out there and simply share. "Sharing is Caring" jejejeje

BTW I " " the word friend because, I do not want to get attached with people here. After this stupid problem, I felt pushed by my 2 "friends" to do a public apology to the class, which I did not do. I don't believe I did anything wrong. I simply expressed that one girl is "oli, fresa, etc" and another is always asking questions. Like I said, just dont read my blog then or change your attitude and be humble and if you ask too many questions, ok - well you do! what's so damn offensive about that?! - a la misma vez, creo que tengo suficiente amigas, which I love and care for very much. Los buenos amigos estan contado con la mano o con las manos if your lucky.

Milan, City of Fashion

(picture above: Sherine, Elvira, me)

(picture above: at Seven)

Last weekend, I went to Milan. I went with 2 girls from school, Elvira & Sherine. I knew were gonna miss our train because of Elvira, she is such a mess! and it poured that morning. Therefore, we missed out train but were able to find another one leaving in 10 minutes. However, we had to change trains and the 2nd train couldn't be missed. However, THANK GOD! We made it with a 15 second difference and off we went to Milan on a 3 hour train trip.

Arriving to Milan's train station was like I was back at the NYC Grand Central train station. Spectacular! Huge! and Busy! People running one way to another! and Huge Armani ads of Cristiana Ronaldo and Megan Fox. (sighhhh) He's so fuckinnn hot! One thing I didn't like was paying 1 euro to use the bathroom! GRRR! Para toda mierda cobran aqui!

Anyways, once we were outside and walked on a little over to the subway - again, it was the NYC feeling. Mind you I've been to NYC once with Annita and I loved it! I kinda don't like quick pace but I like the walking. I enjoy people, my surroundings, and life a lot more. From the subway, we checked in and looked for FOOD! It was like 4pm and Elvira was already getting grumpy. Butttt guess what! Our damn receptionist didn't tell us, ALL the damn restaurants are closed and open till 7pm to serve dinner or any other type of food! fuckin shit! me estaba muriendooo de hambreee! we did not want to go have wine and chips for 3 hours, meanwhile their kitchen opened. After probably walking 45 minutes around a very polluted and water less "river" where the restaurants and bars were at - we found a little pub and had some crostini (2 pancitos tostados con salmon) - ni modo para aguantarme el hambre, ni modo. After that we walked home and a pick-up only pizza place was opened and we got some pizza. That night we went to Corso Como, which is described by hostelbookers.com as " But nothing in Milan could exactly be described as casual. For the less formal traveler, the Corso Como part of town (near the Stazione Garibaldi) is to be avoided: this is where the city’s models and fashionistas hang out. If you’re not dressed in the latest designer threads, you won’t get past the beady-eyed fashion police on the door. " , as soon as you get there you are hounded by street club promoters, and because of them and other sources of ours we ended up at Hollywood and Seven. Seven was more of a lounge and drinks were 15 euros! We got in for free but 15 f*ckin euros for a drink! It was big and it had a lot of vodka pero puta! para eso me compro una botella en el super! So, they were hosting a Fashion TV party but I think we were a little to early, it was just 3 and 2 other girls at another table. Asi que por el apuro de mis amigas, me tome el trago y nos fuimos a Hollywood. Hollywood was 20 euros to get in and 1 drink included, actually juice! porque el cranberry vodka que pedi tenia mas juice que nada and for more vodka me queria cobrar 10 euros para un shot. ADIOSSSSS broder! Eso fueron mis UNICOS 2 tragos de la noche. Ni modo, pase bailando sober all night. LOL. My friends thought Hollywood was ghetto, nose porque, porque valia 20 euros para entrar - asi que volvimos a Seven and now it was packed of models, fashionable guys/gays and old men. Elvira, wanted to stay, she met some random ugly italian like always and just forgets shes with friends and starts talking about who knows what with them. Yo estaba harta de los viejos, not having a drink, not being able to dance anymore and not being able to talk to the hot guy I had seen at Hollywood before - asi que nos fuimos. NIGHT finito.

Day 2 at Milan. We went to the Duomo, piazzas, had some wine and pizza for lunch, window shopped at MonteNapoleane, which is the designer avenue, and looked for the church that has the Last Supper painting. Sadly, I couldn't see it. Apparently you have to make reservations to see it and they only allow 20 people per 15 minutes to see and there were 2 tours lined up waiting. The guy told us to come back in 2 months! because it was reserved till then. ok, thanks buddy! - y esa noche, fuimos a comer dinner to a really nice place, great drinks! great food! - oh and before dinner, we were at the cheap shopping area, but I didn't want to shop, I was just there to stay out of the hotel and see more Milan buttttt my friend wanted to go to zara and h&m, like if we didn't have them in Florence?!

and that was pretty much it. I liked it a lot! it is less touristy and more city. However, en toda esta semana, Milan opened my eyes to the beauty of Florence and it really is better here. The streets are getting a lot more crowded now with tourists but it is so beautiful! I specially love to walk along the Arno River. Amazing! Asi que I'm satisfied living and studying here instead of applying to Marangoni (which is another important fashion institute).
