Places: MET Museum: Punk: Chaos to Couture

Sunday Funday at the MET with Shantall and Nazira. Although we got there at 4:30 (MET closes at 5:30 on Sundays) we were able to enjoy the short exhibition. Compared to the Prada / Schararelli and McQueen exhibit this one had few captions, therefore we were able to enjoy it at a faster pace and in 45 minutes. The Prada / Schararelli and McQueen exhibits took me 2 hours to complete. Punk: Chaos to Couture boasted Vivienne Westwood, McQueen, Givenchy, Gianni Versace, Yohi Yamamoto and Maison Martin Margiela to name a few. My favorite hallway was definitely the 'Hardware' hall featuring Dolce and Gabbana and Gianni Versace.

The Met's spring 2013 Costume Institute exhibition, PUNK: Chaos to Couture, will examine punk's impact on high fashion from the movement's birth in the early 1970s through its continuing influence today. Featuring approximately one hundred designs for men and women, the exhibition will include original punk garments and recent, directional fashion to illustrate how haute couture and ready-to-wear borrow punk's visual symbols. Inspiring: Spring Break Look

I just realized, I don't have any animal print bathing suits! WTF?! I definitely can't afford this one, but I'll start looking....! All I can afford is a $9 parrot print bikini top from Zara :P womp womp.

Nail Polish: Essie Trophy Wife color
Ring: Erickson Beamon Bossa Nova silver-plated Swarovski crystal ring, $315
Bathing Suit: Dolce & Gabbana Leopard-print swimsuit, $680
Maxi Dress: MICHAEL Michael Kors Printed plissé maxi skirt, $130

My vacation spot: Varadero, Cuba

My vacation inspiration look: The skirt definitely reminds me of a midi skirt from the VC S/S 2012 collection. This maxi skirt and white top look soooo comfy! I'd top it off with my white J. Crew Panama hat.
