Fall Trend: Plaid & Tartan

it's fall and the holidays are near. so besides seeing aisles decked out in halloween, thanksgiving and christmas decorations...you can also find dark solids, velvet and punk plaid! for the longest time, i've been wanting to buy a plaid blazer. i found the perfect one in Florence but it was way to expensive since it was custom made from some random men's tailor shop. then last year, while working retail at C Wonder, they too had a perfect plaid blazer which i could have gotten employee discount for but i decided to save my money for Christmas gifts. once again 'out of my budget'. so maybe this time i'll finally give in at Zara. however, i'm between a flannel top, plaid skirt and plaid blazer. i think the skirt is out, cause it's winter, it's super short, i hardly club or go out to even wear a skirt...moments like these is when i wish i lived in Miami or somewhere warmer, so I can wear sweaters and skirts and no down jackets...oh well.

my Fall Wish List: checkered top with zippers and/or checkered jacket both by Zara.

Inspiring: Spring Break Look

I just realized, I don't have any animal print bathing suits! WTF?! I definitely can't afford this one, but I'll start looking....! All I can afford is a $9 parrot print bikini top from Zara :P womp womp.

Nail Polish: Essie Trophy Wife color
Ring: Erickson Beamon Bossa Nova silver-plated Swarovski crystal ring, $315
Bathing Suit: Dolce & Gabbana Leopard-print swimsuit, $680
Maxi Dress: MICHAEL Michael Kors Printed plissé maxi skirt, $130

My vacation spot: Varadero, Cuba

My vacation inspiration look: The skirt definitely reminds me of a midi skirt from the VC S/S 2012 collection. This maxi skirt and white top look soooo comfy! I'd top it off with my white J. Crew Panama hat.

I Want: Oversized Trousers !

Zara finally has them on sale (or had them on sale for $40 during their semi annual sale - womp womp). I still haven't bought a pair because I've been cheap and because I'm still waiting for the really hot summer to kick in!! They are yummy, flattering (on my curvy body), and easy to dress up or down! Forget the summer maxi dress - I want OVERSIZED PANTS!
