I just bought another LBD ... no, its not a Michael Kors but its pretty similar ... mine is from The Gap and it was on sale ( #winning! ) ! I love LBDs ... you can do anything with them! Summer 2011 Style Guide & Destinations

A style guide influenced by my mini vacation to Florida and Nicaragua. While in Florida, I spent one of my nights out on the hot Miami Beach...an Erick Morillo - Defected TV video said it best "What do you love  about Miami? All the hot asses, all the hot asses everywhere!! .... Miami is the sexiest!!"

I usually spend just 2 nights in Miami and it always leaves me wanting more ... more music, more beach, more sexy outfits, more life!

Now Miami isn't as trendy or fashion forward...however, I believe they have their unique style which can only be referred to sensual seduction. You have to embrace looking good while drops of sweat are sliding down your face, arms, and belly...let me just say it is a true talent to control the hair frizz under that humid weather year round!

My South Beach muses are Karolina Kurkova & Bar Rafaeli.

As for the second part of my early summer trip to Nicaragua - I found myself almost heading to Corn Island on the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua (I still haven't been!) with best friend and her boyfriend but decided not be the third wheel hahahha ... however, as you can see you'll know why I really want to go someday. It's simply breathtaking! Definitely a place to go with a significant other and a HOT-ASS bikini! Just like black strappy one from the S'S 11 Mara Hoffman collection. Unlike Miami and it's short shorts..I decided to go with an ISSA crochet dress...I mean look at all these colors! They are magnificient for a walk on the beach and romantic dinner by the beach.

My Corn Island muse is Spanish actress, Elsa Pataky.

I can easily post over 100 headpieces worn at the royal wedding because with a guest list of +1,900 it was basically a hat party! ... imagine how much the Philip Treacy team worked in the last months to compile most of these exquisite creations??


My Top 3:

Spanish beauty, Miriam Gonzalez her husband Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg. Miriam is a partner of the international legal practice DLA Piper in Britain.

I love this headpiece because it shows cultural character, sensuality, and it's also a turban!

Although both are known to be very stylish sisters, my hat goes to the lady in blue, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson wearing a rosette-topped geometric piece by Philip Treacy, while her sister, Santa Montefiore goes for a multi-colored look.

Last but not least, my favorite royal sister style duo - Princesses Eugenie & Beatrice. Both are wearing headpieces by Philip Treacy however Princess Eugenie is wearing Vivienne Westwood and Princess Beatrice is wearing a Valentino coat.

During our home games, the Miami Heat team and fans all wear white and during the hot summer that is slowwwly approaching NYC, white is also slowwwly coming into stores like the H&M Conscious collection. My celebrity of choice is latina and Miami resident, Jennifer Lopez - don't you remember "If You Had My Love" ?

Believe it's tough to decide because everyone looks amazing! There is such amazing taste and looks that I applaud you all - not only celebs. Thank you for your style inspirations.

Update on Year 2

It's been a very long time since I've posted on this blog for many reasons. One: I wasn't sure if I should continue to write about my experience, I was a little afraid that if my office found out about this I'd get in trouble with them like I did with my classmates in Italy. Two: I just haven't had time.

However, I think I will make the time!

I started this blog to share my real experience because I've read books and seen too much reality tv on fashion life and well some things aren't as they seem.

So let me remind you. In 2010, I went to grad school in Italy to pursue fashion and now in 2011, I moved to NYC to pursue Fashion PR and have interned at 2 great companies. Now, it is time for me to apply apply apply and find a job.

I want to share my experience. All experiences are different. This one is just mine.

Tomorrow I will start again and give you a detailed ride on my last 2 PR internships.

Collection of the Season : Prada Spring 2011

Prada Spring/Summer 2011 nabbed more than 45 international magazine covers. I think we all knew it was going to be one of their best seasons EVER! It is a fun, outrageous, and striking collection that I will never forget!

I pulled the covers from fashionista - they did not include men's or tabloid covers - therefore, I am going to risk saying this - but I think Prada nabbed +100 covers...Congrats again on a beautiful collection! 

Spring 2011 Mood Board

I live in NY and spring STILL ISN'T here! - the clothes are here but what's the point of buying an amazing dress, silk shirt, or a killer pair of orange stilettos if I can't flaunt them and have to hide it all under a big coat? like everyone else in NY - I AM OVER this cold weather! i WANT to wear some color (well actually i already do butttt i just wanna get rid of this damn coat).

My mood board is a bit crazy. i don't think it makes much sense - I just know I wanted to show some color, white white, lovey dovey, Stella and Prada - definitely Prada! like everyone else i can't get enough of it. my office is right next to the Prada store and all i do is stare at the color stripped explosion that lays upon the bags.
