Farewell Florence

It's 5:55am and I'm at the Florence airport waiting for the Tax Refund office to open. I'm still sweating from carrying down 5 bags (including my gigantic "purse") down 4 flights of stairs...F*CK! I've been stressing for days that my bags weren't going to make it pass through with the weight limit but they did...each on the EXACT 20kg limit! ufffff! Thank God! I didn't want to pay 100 euros for a stupid 6kg overweight difference.

Last night, was .... terrrrrrible! I don't if its me being anxious or stressed but I made myself sick! 1st of all, something happened to my eye! my eye! its being stinging and I can hardly see. 2nd, I was so busy running last minute errands that I didn't eat and that led to one of the worst headaches (migrane i think) of my life! It was so bad that when I was at my last dinner with my friends...I threw up :( ..... and it was the BEST kind of dinner! It was sushi! My favoriteeeee! and Icecream...and Potatoe & Spinach Ravoli! ... DAMNNIT! I'm so mad at myself for not eating! I ruined my last night! .... However, my friends there were amazing! The ones that have truly meant something to me were there (except Crystal, who's with her sister...but its ok..she called me after) .... You know who you are. Florence and Polimoda could not have been the same without you 5... Thank for everything! Thank you for the nights out in Venice & MIlan, wine nights, Colleberetto & YAB, Twice, shopping trips, lunch & dinner dates, helping me to "turn the page", listening to me cry & bitch, Chinese dinner, and of course through the school drama!

A special thank you to Megha, who gave me a place to stay when I was robbed, shook up, and at the police station till 5am! But specially for being a listener and understanding my point of view (even though I could have been wrong). Friends like you are simply hard to find and thank God I found you in Florence! I know you will find the greatest job ever and succeed! You are everything I see...Strength! I love you friend (in a non-gay way...since (clearing my throat) some girls in our class thought we were gay LOL ... had to say it :P .... see you soon! :)

I know I'll see my girls again...for sure in NYC because that's where were are meant to be...a tarot card reader doesn't have to tell us this... I KNOW we belong there!

As for Florence, It's not you...It's me. I want a bigger, better, livelier city...so I'm leaving you for NYC. You were kinda of a bore....but I'll just think of it as a longgg vacation. Thanks anyway...I know you'll find someone better.

P.S. I just got $52 from the tax refund WOOT WOOT! jajajajaj I just had to share that! :P

Pss. Crystal !!! I don't have a picture with you! WTF??!! :S :S Megha, I think you it on your camera...let me know! ;)

Hippy Grandma

Barcelona, Spain

Madrid vs Barcelona? I pick Barcelona for food, clothes, shops, nightlife, people, and everything else! Here are some looks (and bag) I liked ... but I'm pretty sure they were all tourists and not Spanish.

Street Style: Barcelona, Spain

A couple I met at my hotel in Barcelona. First thing he said to me was "Did you see my Gucci shoes!?" hahahaha so cute! They were very happy I photographed them. I thought they looked great. Two fashionable best buds from London :)

Spotted!

One of my 1st shots (or spottings) in Madrid was of my favorite print...LEOPARD rawrrrrrrrrr! I can't get enough it, specially now that fall is coming - it's all over the place and a MUST have classic print. My mom just bought a bag at Topshop and I just bought another top at Zara - we cannot get enough! We love it! I think I'm finally going to give in to the LV leopard scarf or Tory Burch ballerina flats for this fall :) Alaia & Mulberry have some amazing bags & of course Dolce & Gabbana could not disappoint and stuck to their print this season.

SJP loves her LV scarfs ....

Mulberry Fall 2010 Ad Campaign (Look at all that leopard! ... in the words of Rachel Zoe, "I Die!"... I want everything here!)

I couldn't find my mom's new leopard bag on Topshop.com - but I found this other one for 50 Brit pounds.

Alaia clutch (beautiful!) for 995 euros (ouch!)
Girl in Madrid ... The dress isn't beautiful ... but it gets me ;) ... she also fcked up the look with damn flipflops! I hate when this happens!

Barcelona Loves Desigual

2nd Stop: Barcelona, Spain

2 Words: Desigual Overload! .... I had never heard of Desigual till I came to Florence and saw them at mt first Pitti Uomo. Now, I love color, shapes, patterns, flowers, etc .... but these people GO CRAZY with this! You walk into the store and its too loud! I'm talking about their music... it's just crazzy! It's like grandma making me a quilt but on an acid trip and calling it a dress. OMG you should see their "blazers" - "clase tripeo"!! I just don't like. but everyone in Barcelona LOVES it! Even the tourists. If you aren't familiar, here's the site http://www.desigual.com/ and here are a few shots.

European Summer

As you may have noticed...I've been absent for a very long time. Sorry :S but I was on vacation! woot woot! with my beautiful parents ... but although I was on vacation through Europe that doesn't mean I didn't stop and enjoy the fashionable view.

First Stop: Madrid, Spain

I saw 2 bags I loved! and both completely different. The 1st one just reminds me of a Chloe 'Darla' bag and I think I would prefer this one over the Chloe tote. The 2nd one is just orange! bright! and it has bows on the side! So cute! :) It looks cheap and plastic but I think its the flash that makes it look bad; an Asian girl was carrying it so I highly doubt it was bad quality.

Good News! Good Luck! GOOD GOOD GOOD!

After applying to countless jobs in NYC, Florence, L.A., Miami, and London. I finally chose the right one! There were a few places I would have died to work for but at the end I think the right internship found me and I found them as well. I was offered and accepted an internship for a PR firm in NYC called Shout Social. They are small but something tells me this feels very good! ... I actually turned down 2 other internships for prestigious companies in NYC while I waited for SS to tell me the good news I was hoping to hear.

Having worked for a small business, I think choosing this new and small company, I will be surrounded by a lot more dedication, responsibilities, and most of all experience! Because I do not have any professional PR or fashion experience.

This actually all happened while my parents were here! The day they arrived 3 companies emailed me for job interviews! It was like my luck had changed or just having the positive energies and love from my parents made me forget the stress and take it a little easy with the interviews.

I am beyond happy! I wanted PR and I got it! I wanted NYC and I got it!

Thank you to everyone who has had me in their thoughts and prayers! I love you all!

They also have facebook & twitter ;)

Fresh Whites

Besides RED and it being hot here. No one forgets their WHITEs. I'm not a big fan of the all white look (unless its my wedding dress) but after seeing soo much white today I think I'm having a change of heart ... or style. We'll see, I'll give it a try. I just love color too much ....

Summer=Hot ... Red=Hotness!

I noticed a lot of woman in red today .... Red Hot Sexy Summer!

Firenze Caldo! Caldissimo! Troppo Caldo!

Here are a few photographs I've taken (please remember I have no photography experience) of tourists and Italians around Florence in the summer. I asked some, and others were far. But they all looked great to me!

Summer School

I'm currently on vacation with my folks ... so the following pictures are a bit old. But I still love them! I shot them at school. These are a couple of my classmates - just looking amazing at summer school :)

Baby on Board!

My best friend's look a likes have to be the Kardashian sisters. Lushes Long black hair, Petite, HourGlass body, Big booty, and just damn Sexy! Too bad she's married and pregnant now ... and a she. LOL - Anywayssss ..... although she has amazing style, she asked me to help her with her baby shower look. Therefore, I went through my celeb-preggo archives. I have personally loved the baby bump styles of Ashlee Simpson, Nicole Richie, and Kourtney Kardashian.

I think pregnant women should flaunt their unique curves (no matter how big they get) - but don't let the girls too out and seem like Pamela Andersons; I'm talking about showing off the baby bump! Like Kourtney does; I think its extremely sexy how she rocked the red carpet with this simple white dress and well what's a hotter accessory than your bump?! Ashlee also goes simple with her day to day look; showing off the baby bump skin just a tad - again looking very sexy.

When I was going through my celeb preggo pics, I found Jennifer Garner. I just don't like her pregnant or normal style at all! In spanish, we call her "Papa sin Sal" - literally: unsalted potatoe. LOL - It means: Plain Jane. Pregnancy is the most beautiful experience! and after looking at her pics, I was just disappointed. She wore jeans, plain shirts, t-shirts, and turtle necks. I have no problem with monochronic t-shirts or stretchy jeans - but COME ON woman! Ayyy she's just so plain for me. She probably shops at Pea in a Pod. Fashionista moms hate that place!

Now I've never been pregnant, but I like pregnant women in:

  • Maxi dresses
  • Tight Cocktail dresses
  • Empire or Grecian inspired dresses
  • Black Leggings or Cig Pants with a great top and Blazer
  • Fitted Blazers or Jean Jackets over SuperSized Cardigans (because you don't want to appear bigger)
  • Horizontal Stripes
  • NOT too much cleavage (save it for the baby. the world already knows your expecting - but they aren't expecting to see your nipple drip)
  • Flowy hair down (not tied up in a knot, just because you can't seen your feet doesn't mean you can't reach your hair dryer)
