Nicky Hilton arriving to MBFW - NYFW Day 4; Honestly, she looked gorgeous! I wouldn't have been able to get a picture if someone had yelled "Nicky!" She kindly stopped and let everyone take her picture. As she was walking up to Lincoln Center, I spotted her and thought "I wonder if that is Nicky Hilton? She's all by herself, she didn't come in a cab and is just making her way through like a normal girl on a normal day." It was in fact, Nicky once that somebody called her name out.

I couldn't believe it! BILL CUNNINGHAM! Some guy had the balls to call him and say hi. Did you not know when he's working - HE'S WORKING. "Do Not Disturb!" He doesn't like and doesn't like being thought of as a 'fashion blogger / street style celeb' or whatever label you have of him.
However,  I was in awe. Every time I walk around the city, I think " I wonder if I'll see him zoom by on his bike " - this time, I caught him running up and down Lincoln Center snappin' shots. Watch Bill's videos on The New York Times 

Everyone yelled "Susie! Susie!" but I guess she was running late to the next show - she didn't stop for anyone on the way in. Just in case you don't know who I am talking about, I'm talking about top UK / INTL fashion blogger, Susie Bubble - http://www.stylebubble.co.uk/

her look caught my attention because of the full skirt. then i realized i had saved Arielle's photo (below) because of the knot detail. as you can see Karla is wearing a basic top from Madewell which she added the twist to. OUTFIT IDEA!

for some reason as a pre-teen, i would always do this to my tops except it would be a side knot and not on my midriff. once i was in high school, our uniforms were basic white tops and navy blue pants. my pants were SUPER tight (i seriously couldn't even bend down) and my tops were XL (i wasn't a big girl) - idk why i wore them that big? i seriously just didn't care. BUT because they were XL, i would knot down and create some sort of bow out of it - to only undo after 5 minutes lbecause the disciplinary was always on my ass about my fashion sense. WHERE WAS GOSSIP GIRL at my age! :(

I Spy: Metallic Pink

 

I was going through Tommy Ton's "Street Fighting Man" pictures on Style.com with the intent of finding pictures for a Gingham print post to some how mix in this post. however, I ended up falling in love with this woman's Burberry [Spring Summer RTW 2013] metallic pink trench coat while she was out enjoying Paris Couture Week. Perhaps it's because of my recent love of 80s styled Carrie Diaries show and girly obsession of all things pink. So I'll just leave my checkered post for tomorrow.

In addition, to the iridescent hologram Ray Ban sunglasses and chic envelope clutches - metallics are another lustrous upgrade to your classic daily look. I for one, have a very simple pair of silver pointy slingbacks that gloss up my formal LBD interview looks or casual Sunday boyfriend jean looks. So don't be afraid to add these futuristic eye-catching items to your wardrobe!

Both Latin American designers are living a parallel universe with their latest collections featuring Druzy Stones. The druzy stones is a gemstone (quartz crystal) that is usually dyed and available in different colors. They kind of remind me of the stones I would create when I was 7 years old with my awesome geology rock formation kit! #BigBang #Geek #FashionGeek LOL

before there was Vicente Castellon (Nicaraguan designer) there was Frida Giannini of Gucci - but before anyone saw the RTW 2013 collection by Gucci at Milan, we saw Vicente Castellon's SS13 collection debut at Nicaragua Diseña back in October 2012. great designers, think alike! no copyright issues here. #JustSayin

VC's subtle palette ss13 collection was inspired by an 70's Nicaraguan socialite (whom he rather not name) and Giannini's collection featured brighter Spring colors paging Marella Agnelli and Marisa Berenson. however, they both seemed to be inspired by the late 60s and early 70s and closed their collections with white provocative V-neck gowns and dramatic sleeves.

What I Wore: NYE Party

It's quite difficult to appreciate yet again my terrible pictures but I wore a black jumpsuit by BCBG MaxAzria to my NYE party on the Carnival Destiny cruise to Jamaica and Grand Cayman along with some basic black pumps by Elin Kling for GUESS Marciano and Forever 21 necklace.

Christmas Wish List: Part 2
