I was going through Tommy Ton's "Street Fighting Man" pictures on Style.com with the intent of finding pictures for a Gingham print post to some how mix in this post. however, I ended up falling in love with this woman's Burberry [Spring Summer RTW 2013] metallic pink trench coat while she was out enjoying Paris Couture Week. Perhaps it's because of my recent love of 80s styled Carrie Diaries show and girly obsession of all things pink. So I'll just leave my checkered post for tomorrow.

In addition, to the iridescent hologram Ray Ban sunglasses and chic envelope clutches - metallics are another lustrous upgrade to your classic daily look. I for one, have a very simple pair of silver pointy slingbacks that gloss up my formal LBD interview looks or casual Sunday boyfriend jean looks. So don't be afraid to add these futuristic eye-catching items to your wardrobe!

Clothing Report: Spring Jacket

it's been a while but i've been applying to jobs. however, i still have time to stroll around Soho after my interviews. i walked into a vintage store on Prince; i'm not a big fan of vintage but i found this colorful striped MARC BY MARC JACOBS jacket for $200 (damn! i wish i had a job!) and then i walked around to LF to check out their Jeffrey Campbell shoes and Rebecca Minkoff bags and found myself trying on another jacket. is my body telling me it wants a new jacket? lol i actually don't have a spring jacket nor a jean jacket...i'm actually not a big blazer/jacket fan all around. however, i did score this orange oriental/matador SHANTALL LACAYO jacket ;) but this jacket is for a night out. i think i might need an everyday spring jacket. so here are my 'dream' spring jackets.

Essentials: Spring Break 2012

My beach / Spring Break essentials definitely include short shorts, extra large beach tote, fedoras (yes, multiple fedoras) and tanning oil bronzer! Shorts, just like trousers can easily transition into a hot outfit just by adding a long simple necklace or fringed necklace and wedges - with an excellent tan and cucumber moisture before heading out for some salsa dancing, there will be no need to cake makeup on. it's officially spring in 2 weeks ( but it feels like 2 weeks till summer in nicaragua ) and it's about time you update that closet! at least i did over the weekend ;) i wasn't able to find transparent pumps but i guess i'll just have to look for them on my upcoming summer trip to nyc because these shoes are too hottt! i've been craving something transparent since the Clear Crystal Prada collection in 2009/10. They kinda remind me of my transparent pink 'Xuxa' jelly flats and transparent white purse from Payless (hey! I was only 7 years old, Payless was awesome!) 

However these Marc Jacobs' ($595) and Sergio Rossi ($663) pumps are a lot more grownup, fun and sexy. Would you kick it back to the 80s?

I also found some clear sunnies on Net-A-Porter by Rag & Bone ($370) and Prism ($375).

What to Wear: Interview Looks

Last week I had an interview at a PR agency and I was once again stumped on what to wear. I believe I am very careful yet creative with what I wear to an interview because you want to feel comfortable while hiding those uncomfortable thoughts of "i need this job, please hire me, what are my best skills" and you have to leave a professional and unique flavor to the interview when it comes to attire, resume look, speaking abilities, and personality. 

Interview looks are about you and the job you want - so don't be afraid to step out of the 'normal' white long sleeve button down, black blazer, black trousers, and black pumps. Add some 'paaazzazz' with a cobalt button down or funky classy earrings or color block shoes or dress. My friends and I have different interview looks but as you can see we add a little something different - graphic print, bold jewelry, and textured fabric.
