I just realized, I don't have any animal print bathing suits! WTF?! I definitely can't afford this one, but I'll start looking....! All I can afford is a $9 parrot print bikini top from Zara :P womp womp.

My vacation inspiration look: The skirt definitely reminds me of a midi skirt from the VC S/S 2012 collection. This maxi skirt and white top look soooo comfy! I'd top it off with my white J. Crew Panama hat. 

Essentials: Spring Break 2012

My beach / Spring Break essentials definitely include short shorts, extra large beach tote, fedoras (yes, multiple fedoras) and tanning oil bronzer! Shorts, just like trousers can easily transition into a hot outfit just by adding a long simple necklace or fringed necklace and wedges - with an excellent tan and cucumber moisture before heading out for some salsa dancing, there will be no need to cake makeup on. Where you heading this Spring Break?

VC constantly reminds us on Facebook "aquí seguimos trabajando, porque en Nicaragua hay moda y talento de sobra" which translates into "we're still working, because in Nicaragua there is fashion and so much more talent". He's an enthusiastic young Nicaraguan designer, who can now cross out "First Runway Show" off his fashionable bucket list with a note reading "Awesome!"

VC SS12 can only be described as On Trend - from splashes of color to spring nautical to eclectic prints to the inevitable color-blocking trend. Definitely a collection for all women and all occasions. There is no reason why you wouldn't like it or wear it, he does it all!

I got my eyes set on a few pants, maxi dresses, stripe blazer and midis - yep, I kinda want it all!

Congrats VICENTE! You did it! So when's the next show? ;)

NINI Spring/Summer 2012 collection

NINI is currently wrapping up a degree in Design and Image Consultant at SENAC in Brazil and has just released the photos to her latest Spring/Summer 2012 collection which is manufactured in Nicaragua. Her creations, collections, and passions can be best described as Bright Bold, Fun Loving with of a touch Chic detailing of bow ties, pleats, and tulle layering.  

Vicente Castellon designs from RTW to bespoke pieces and is currently the Dean of Fashion Design at Universidad del Valle in Managua, Nicaragua. His designs are described as sober, minimalist, and subtle to the woman's silhouette.

Collection of the Season : Prada Spring 2011

Prada Spring/Summer 2011 nabbed more than 45 international magazine covers. I think we all knew it was going to be one of their best seasons EVER! It is a fun, outrageous, and striking collection that I will never forget!

Here are some of my favorite covers:

I pulled the covers from fashionista - they did not include men's or tabloid covers - therefore, I am going to risk saying this - but I think Prada nabbed +100 covers...Congrats again on a beautiful collection!
